Now used almost exclusively as a Lariat counter, an arm trapping cradle pinfall. The name comes from the V9 era Yomiuri Giants that won 9 championships in a row from 1965-1973.


2000: Debuts as a 5th Term student for T2P. Adopts a baseball character, patterned after Yomiuri Giants star Souzo Doi. Changes ringname to Second Doi
2001: Injuries prevent him from debuting in Japan with the rest of T2P.
2002: Debuts in Japan during the T2P League tour in March.
2003: Joins Shin M2K, remains a member through the year, until the unit is dissolved.
2004: Remains without a unit until Final M2K forms in July. Loses a Bat vs. Iron Perm match to Don Fujii, forcing him to change his hair style to an Iron Perm. Aligns with Fujii and Naoki Tanisaki to form the Aipas team in the 2004 Rey de Parejas. Announces at the end of the year he was reverting to his real name.
2005: Turns heel on the first Korakuen Hall show of the year, joining the newly formed Blood Generation. Becomes the first Open the Brave Gate champion, and holds the title most of the year.
2006: Betrays CIMA and leads the Blood Generation coup d'état that lead to the formation of Muscle Outlaw'z. Suffers a serious injury in July, and doesn't return until October.
2007: Finds great success in the tag ranks. Early in the year, he captured the ROH Tag titles with Shingo Takagi. Later in the year his Speed Muscle team with Masato Yoshino dominates. They won the Summer Adventure Tag League, becoming the first Open the Twin Gate champions. They also held the IJ Tag and GHC Jr. Tag titles at the same time.

Currently Doi is in the middle of the unit shuffle. He and Yoshino were on the verge of splitting their team, before reconciling. After several months of dissention, he and Yoshino split from MO'z. They went on to found the WORLD-1 unit. He and Yoshino also traveled to the US to compete for TNA, the first DG trip to a "major" US company.
