2000: Debuts as a 5th term student, for T2P.
His original character wore face paint, and was somewhat of a devil character.
One of his nicknames was the Crown Prince of Hell. He was a natural rival to
Takayuki Moris' technico prince character.
2001: Due to an injury to Second Doi, Iwasa is used on the
technico side during the T2P Japan landing. He suffers an injury and misses
around 8 months.
2002: Returns from injury, ends up somewhat lost in the shuffle
during the T2P vs. Japan war. Towards the end of the year, CMAX begin to mock
him by performing his theme song (Ashes in your Mouth by Megadeth), and holding
the "Iwasa Takamichi Strengthening Campaign". This lead him to believe that he
was actually being recruited. Of course he wasn't. This was the start of his
comedy path.
2003: King Ali Baba arrives in Japan. His destruction of Iwasa
on countless shows further buried Iwasa down the card. Shunned by all units, he
teamed up with fellow 5th term outcast Raimu Mishima and hoped to start his own
unit, Iwasa Gundam. President Okamura agreed, but only on the condition that
Iwasa could win one match in a 15 match trial series. He lost all 15 matches to
a Camel Clutch TKO. Upon losing the 15th, he and Iwasa departed for the United
States for warrior training. They returned as Michael Iwasa and Raimu Mishima,
the Florida Brothers. They employed various tactics to ensure they always won
their matches via DQ. Their favourite method was the Frolida Chair, which always
ended up in the hands of their opponents when the referee was in position.
2004: Won all of their matches as the Florida Brothers by DQ.
2005: A brief serious return for Mishima followed by an injury
led to a brief serious return for Iwasa. Iwasa Gundam even revived for one night
only, although in Iwasa Gundam fashion they were defeated. They returned to
Florida, and continued their Frolida winning streak.
2006: Loses a Character Deprivation match to Stalker Ichikawa.
Florida Brothers split, Iwasa again becomes a Japanese person, Taku Iwasa. He
joins Tozawajuku, initially to continue on his comedy path. However Iwasa
quickly let it be known he was looking for a more serious role. He took part in
a Dream gate Key Hunting 4 Way match. As the year progressed he continued to
strengthen.
2007: Finally got his big break came in July. As a part of an
Open the Dream Gate #1 contender tournament, Iwasa lost in the first round. An
injury to BxB Hulk however brought back him into play, and he went on to win. Also
found breakout success as a part of the AraIwa tag with Keni'chiro Arai. They
made a strong showing in the Summer Adventure Tag league, then went on to win
the IJ Tag. A broken arm cut his year short. Despite the injury, Iwasa was
firmly in place in the top line of DG.
After returning in January from the arm injury, AraIwa picked up where they left off. They captured the Open the Twin Gate from Speed Muscle in February.
