3/27/2002- Todays results up, Magnum has all but won Block A. On 4/9 Ryo defends his NWA Welterweight title against Ricky Marvin (EMLL demanded this), with the winner going on to defend it against Genki on 4/27.
3/27/2002- Profile for Berlinetta Boxer up, and profile for Takuya Sugawara updated with his vital stats. Many many thanks to the Condotti Shuji HP LANZARSE for helping me with this.
3/26/2002- First portions of those T2P Mexico results are up, they are a pain to translate, so the process is going slow. Click here to find them. If anyone of you more lucha inclined folks out there notice name mistakes please let me know, also if anyone knows where to find footage of this, PLEASE let me know ^_^
3/26/2002- Nagano results up. Profile for Takuya Sugawara up, even if it doesn't say much. (3:59 PM)- Couple more quick notes out of Nagano. After CIMA lost to Shiisa, all of C-MAX came in attacked him, ripping his mask off, the report by someone there said he clearly was SAITO. From what I understand, there has been a lot of talk by SUWA about unmasking Shiisa to reveal his true character.
3/26/2002- Fukushima results up. Genki took advantage of Arakens' leg injury to get a referee stop in their match. Also, today was the first time the original C-MAX members teamed together since early fall. I updated the class chart with name changes and a few alignment changes (Kawabata is a Bukoh Dojo graduate). You may also notice I have removed the gallery section, they are too tough to keep updated, and I try to keep photo borrowing to a minimum. I'll try and come up with a section to replace it soon (if anyone has any ideas or requests, feel free to email)
3/24/2002- Zepp Sendai results up.
3/21/2002- Small update. I'm working on archiving all the T2P Mexico results. Hopefully I will have them up by tommorrow afternoon. Another angle from Korakuen last night; Susumu offered Masaaki his leader role in M2K back, if Susumu could return to his old name. Masaaki refused. Added a new non wrestling link, if anyone cares about those.
3/21/2002- El Numero Uno 2002 kicked off in Japan today. Full results are up, with a couple surprises.
--Magnum TOKYO and his dancers
attacked SUWA during his match, prompting the ringout
--The M2K angle is currently looking like this, Susumu wants SUWA,
Genki wants Magnum as leader. They did an angle last night where
Darkness and Kanda were asked who they wanted. Magnum came out about
this time, Genki offered the leadership role of M2K, but Magnum said he
would only associate with those who can dance. So in the main event,
Genki dressed up as a Magu dancer and danced in Magnums'
entrance. He said he spent 35,000 on dancing lessons.
--A quick correction on the opener result, Darkness Dragon unveiled a new
move called the Judah to counter Dragon Kids' Christo move. (Judah vs
Christ, see...)It's a leg submission of some sort, and Dragon tapped
immediately when he was put in it. From what i understand, Darkness
grabbed Kids' leg and before Kid reached for the arm for the Christo, and
stretched it like a Stretch Muffler.
--During the 6 man tag, the crowds chanted "JABE! JABE! JABE!" whenever
Raimu was in the ring. "Jabe" is what the T2P style is called. After
the match, Raimu pleaded "Fujii Collection" to return Milanos' dog. Fujii
refused, and SUWA joined in on a 4 way C-MAX beating on poor Raimu. (SUWA
gave his diving elbow drop to the upright, spread eagled' Raimu...>_<)
--After his loss, Masaaki said although he would be unable to be the
winner without defeat like lastyear, he would go on to win again this year
as "winner who lost the first game".
--As part of the recruitment process, Genki had M2K backed up Magnum, not
Susumu in the mian event. They refused to help Susumu several times, and
aided Magu a few times. Susumu left alone at the end, but Darkness and
Kanda followed after him while Genki danced with Magnum.
3/19/2002- Updates to the Fire Pro edits.
3/18/2002- Next Vamonos Amigos airs on this coming Friday (3/22), and will cover the 2/3 Hakata Star Lanes and 2/24 Korakuen Hall shows. The guest host will be SUWA. Added a few more show dates for May.
3/17/2002- Full results from Act City Hammatsu up, Araken was held off due to his injury, Kawabata replaced him. Nothing else of note, really. Next show is the open of El Numero Uno!
3/16/2002- Todays results up. Araken has suffered some sort of leg injury, he will be OK though and probably not miss time. . After the main event, SUWA came down to the ring, CIMA and he shook hands and all 4 C-MAX members did the Crazy Fucking together for the first time since August. SUWA is now back with C-MAX officially.
3/15/2002- Click here to read my 1st term 2002 report cards for Toryumon Japan and T2P. Please email me your feedback and opinions, or post them on the message board.
3/15/2002- Kawasaki Gym
results up, SUWA became the 20th British Commonwealth champion, beating
Magnum in a mere 5 minutes. During the opening promo spots, Susumu offered
SUWA the spot as M2K leader. SUWA accepted....then gave the FFF to Susumu.
SUWA also gave FFFs to Magnums dancers. M2K interfered in the main, but
were run off by Crazy MAX. Afterwards SUWA shook hands again with C-MAX,
and it looks like he has rejoined them. (UPDATE 7:30 PM- Nikkan Sports
has an article up saying he rejoined, but they did the same ending they
did at Kobe with the handshake, and leave together) Raimu
Mishima celebrated his birthday today by losing in 1:16...Happy Birthday
to Raimu, hope it got better for him..=(
3/14/2002- Continued the general brightening of the site. Schedules and results pages got new looks. Also, I found a non wrestling links page I apparently had done at some point, so I uploaded that (it's on the links page). If anyone is good with CGI and would be willing to make a BBS for me, please email me. Big show tonight, may do live results if I am awake and someone I know is going.
3/14/2002- Hope the new format is to your liking, everything is where it was before, I just got sick of the old layout. Updated the Numero Uno info page, with how the finals will be decided.
3/13/2002- Added the matchlist for the February Vamonos Amigos, overall a good show, nothing mind blowing, although the 6 man from 1/8 Korakuen Hall was very very good. Tour dates updated through June
3/12/2002- OK, I actually did some digging (which I should have done before saying anything, ya?) and have gotten to the bottom of the Super Shisa/Caeser fiasco here. I asked some of my Japanese friends, and got responses ranging from Seacer, to Caser to Shisa. But, they did tell me it was the Guardian Deity of Okinawa. I ended still with conflicting names (Shiisah, Shiisa, Shisa) but the most prominent seemed to be Shiisa. Shiisa is the guardian deity of Okinawa (where Super is billed as being from. makes sense now as to why there was some laughter when he was announced as such). So his name is Super Shiisa. In any event, his name was basically correct (and so that Japanese profile was wrong) I've updated his profile with some info regarding the Deity.
3/12/2002- Kobe results up. El Numero Uno 2002 blocks and cards announced, I have a quickie page with all the blocks up, click here I promise to make it look better later tonight. 30 minute draw in the C-MAX decision match. After the match, they all shook hands and left together, but SUWA is not back with Crazy MAX as of yet. CIMA cut a tearful promo, saying for 5 years all 4 had been Crazy MAX, and he holds them in his heart, and will wait for SUWAs decision a little longer. Ryos' 2nd during his match was Masaaki. Ryos' next title defense will probably be on 4/
3/9/2002- Please note the new disclaimer on the Fire Pro page.
3/5/2002- Some little notes. A new T2P video is apparently coming out soon in Japan, it was advertised/was sold at Differ. The T2P league TV special will air on 3/30, and will be 2 hours, and the next Vamonos Amigos will air 3/22, for 2 hours. Yes, this info is of little use to most of you, but just to give you an idea when to start looking for them to appear on tape lists. The next T2P shows in Japan will probably occur in May, but no specific dates are set. Updated the Syachihokos profile with some more info on the gimmick and such.
3/3/2002- Milano Collection AT, to the surprise of no one, has won the T2P League and the NWA International Junior title. He formed the Italian Connection team afterwards, with longtime partners Yoshino and Tsujimoto, along with Yagi and Kondo who he says he has become friends with. Just when you thought the names and such within T2P were goofy enough, well, now Yoshino has been renamed to YOSSINO, Tsujimoto to brother YASSINI, and Yagi to Pescatore Yagi. Kondo is now Condotti. Before the finals, Don Fujii ran in and as he said, and kidnapped Mikeru, Milanos' current invisible dog. Fujii sent out the challenge to Milano and T2P, saying "Come to JAPAN!" (meaning Toryumon Japan). Looks like the first shots have been fired in the war. Also, 2 new Shachihoko Machines debuted today, bringing their ranks to 4(!!). Overall looked to a be a good show, results up
3/2/2002- T2P League results up. Milano and Yoshino have won Blocks A+D, respectively. There will be playoff matches tonight to determine the winners of B+C. Block C will probably be determiend with a 3 Way with Tsujimoto, Yagi, and Mori. Kondo and Owashi will have the rematch from the 2/17 draw. I got the 1/23 T2P show today (matchlist is up) very good show, Kondo and Ogawauchi had a fantastic match, and of course the 6 man was tremendous. There are some new FPD edits up, along with an update to the T2P/Toryumon Japan pack.
