2006: Debuts as a part of the Dragon Gate NEX project.
2007: Forms Lupin the KZ team with fellow NEX member Lupin Matsutani. Due to injuries to YAMATO and BxB Hulk, they are picked to replace the NH team in the Summer Adventure Tag league. Defeats CIMA in a single match on a NEX show. CIMA had injured his neck a few days before and was advised to not wrestle, but did anyway because it was such an important match for KZ. KZ won via referee stop with a front neck lock.

KZ kicked off 2008 by winning the NEX-1 tournament. After a 5 match farewell trial series, he departed for Mexico for a learning excursion. After a phone call from Doi, he agreed to join tWORLD-1 upon returning home in June.
