Before Dragon Gate: Debuts for WAR, out of Koji Kitaos' Bukoh Dojo. Other Bukoh graduates include Dragon Gate president Takashi Okamura, Crazy MAX member TARU, and M2K member Chocoflake K-ICHI. Spent a lot of time freelancing, for companies like Battlarts and Michinoku Pro. Heavily patterned his style after Nobuhiko Takada. A trip to Mexico began his participation with Toryumon.
Participates for Toryumon Japan as a seikigun member. Also mentors Chocoball KOBE (Chocoflake) in a Bukoh Dojo team.
After a brief feud with them, aligns with Susumu Mochizuki and Yasushi Kanda to form the original M2K. With the heel turn, Mochi becomes one of the Toryumon 3 pillars with CIMA and Magnum TOKYO.
After forcing all his league matches to go to a double ring out, advances through to the El Numero Uno finals. Despite a failed attempt at ruining the finals via double ring out, goes on to win the tournament. Despite a dominant year, he loses his hair to CIMA in December.
Returns from his haircut hiatus as a "Good Person". This quickly clashes with the rest of M2K and he is ousted from the unit. Defeats Susumu in the famous Mochizuki contra Mochizuki match to become the lone Mochizuki in Toryumon. Aligns with Seikigun after their leader Magnum jumps to M2K. Wrestles Ultimo Dragon in his pre-return exhibition match. Returns to M2K for one night only to see Yasushi Kanda off into his retirement. After the Japan vs. T2P feud ends, disbands Seikigun.
Reforms M2K with Seikigun members and T2Ps' Second Doi as Shin M2K. The unit fails to catch on, and after a Mochi loss to fellow member Araken they disband.
Celebrates his 10th year in wrestling by returning to his heel persona, as leader of Aagan-iisou. The heel turn was short lived, as personality clashes with other members lead to him being kicked out. Repents for his heel turn and reunites with members of prior M2K incarnations to form Final M2K. His 10th year comes full circle at the end, winning the Open the Dream Gate.
Defends the Dream Gate against inside and outside challenges, until falling in November.
Distances himself form M2K a bit, aligning with Magnum TOKYO in his revolution and later Renaissance concept. Passes the leader spot to Susumu. Returns to the WAR mat to defend the long dormant IJ singles title. Loses it, then regains to seal it permanently. Completes his own Renaissance by winning King of Gate at the end of the year. When FM2K ended, he chose to remain without a unit.
Holds his first self produced show, Buyuden. With CIMA spearheading the international expansion, Mochi became the ambassador within Japan. After 2 failed attempts on the Dream Gate, Mochi put his focus into outside efforts for awhile. He united the other unit-less (Mushozoku) elder statesmen Fujii and K-ness to win the Triangle Gate.

Mochi continues to push the open door policy. After winning a title in Zero 1 MAX he has pushed his Buyuden concept shows to become a monthly event.
