4/29/2002- Full results up from Okayama.. C-MAX was booed during their match, rare for a CIMA match.

4/28/2002- Results from Nagoya up. Very small card tonight, due to injuries to SUWA and Shiisa. During the opening MC, Ultimo came out and changed the main event, Genki was forced to defend his newly won NWA Welterweight title against Ryo. Ultimo was at ringside to prevent any interference from M2K. Genki did succeed in the defense, winning with the Beach Break. I would assume the title match was made to make up for the weakness of the undercard, so the audience didn't feel cheated. There is a good chance of Noriaki Kawabata being brought in to cover for Shiisa if he has to miss an extended period of time.

4/27/2002-  Results from Kobe up, some happenings out of the show. Genki Horiguchi became the 49th NWA Welterweight champion, defeating Ryo Saito with some help from Magnum TOKYO. Magnum went to hit Genki with the Blue Box, and missed and hit Ryo, allowing Genki to roll him up for the win. Magnum was also involved in the first match, teaming with Masaaki. Masaaki accidently hit Magnum, causing Magnum to hit him back then leave Masaaki alone with Susumu and Darkness. SUWA showed up during the opening MC, to confront Magnum, but nothing came of it, and he didn't appear at all later. Super Shiisa was off the show due to his leg injury. Another T2P show was announced, 6/4 in Zepp Sendai, bringing the total dates to 4 thus far.

4/23/2002- New top image courtesy of our friend Duprie over at the above link. Thanks to him, as always. Check his site out for a lot of pics from 4/22 and before. A bit of info I forgot to pass along, T2P in Korakuen Hall is confirmed for 6/7, probably as the tour ender. Project Toryumon X, the new class that was revealed yesterday, departs for Mexico on May 6th, will begin their 2 year cycle down there. T2P went through a very similar process. All of the kids debuting on 5/11 are aligned with PTX, except possibly Koichiro Arai. Expect Hisamaru Tajima to be the Milano Collection-esque figurehead.

4/22/2002-  Magnum TOKYO is your 2002 El Numero Uno winner. He defeated Masaaki Mochizuki in the finals with the AV Star Press. Masaaki made it to the finals by winning the opening Battle Royal, then defeating CIMA (who may have injured his knee again last night in Tokorozawa). Magnum lost his match to SUWA, but an M2K attack on SUWA (including multiple chair shots and a powerbomb through the announce desk) left him to be taken to a hospital with a head and/or neck injury. He declined the offer to join M2K afterwards, but they all (including Kanda and Darkness...) danced together before and afterwards. Susumu was forced to dance as well. The Toryumon army turned on Magnum, abandoning him. He was helped out by M2K (perhaps now a member by default). The other HUGE news out of the show, is that Project Toryumon X has begun. This is the new class of students, led by Hisamaru Tajima. I expect this to be a more power fighter oriented class. Full results are of course up in the usual spot.

4/21/2002- Full results out of Tokorozawa up,  CIMA and SUWA won blocks C and B respectively today, so CIMA faces the winner of the battle royal, and SUWA faces Magnum tommorrow night. Couple of little notes out of the show, after the match Genki said something to the effect of "I am done fighting for today" I have no idea what he means, I will try and get that clarified. Also, while this isn't earth shaking, it is worht mentioning, Mochi shook hands with all the participants after the opening tag.

4/19/2002- New date announced, 7/20 at Hakata Star Lanes. Also, the T2P Mexico results are updated for this year, and I added more for 2001.

4/15/2002- Updated the fire pro edits. I re-watched the 3/3 T2P show today, and I have to say I am REALLY disappointed. The more I watched it, the more I noticed a lack of the things that made the earlier T2P shows so magical. They didn't seem to be in their style at all, and it didn't flow as well. They seemed to be a little more Toryumon Japan styled this time, maybe. I'm going to write this off as an over-booked show that shouldn't have been shown in entirety (an overview of the whole league would have been nice, since a lot of it looked good). One terrible thing, is the Italian Connection name changes, it really isn't a good idea to have your rudo team have names that the crowd laughs at. I know things are more light hearted (they did it with Choco when he joined M2K and got renamed to Chocoflake) but the names are awful, and I really wish they would drop them. I guess we will know come late May when the next Japan landing happens.....

4/14/2002- Todays full results up. Another date has been announced for the next T2P Japan tour, 5/29 at Kokura Gym. Dates for Tokai and Tokyo are still undecided. One show left for Numero Uno, with Dragon Kid vs Ricky, SUWA vs Fujii and CIMA vs Genki. The last 2 have direct impact on their blocks, with the winner advancing. If Genki and CIMA draw, Genki wins. If they draw by non ringout, Genki wins. If CIMA wins, he advances. If SUWA wins, he advances. If Fujii wins, he advances. If they draw, then Fujii wins. I have a feeling  in some way one of these blocks is going to end up having a 3 way decision match on 4/22 through interference and ringout trickery. SUWA will be involved in the Mexico tour in May, in some capacity. In Masaakis' match today, M2K waited in the entry way to interfere, so Masaaki scored the KO before they got a chance. Magnum interfered in the SUWA match, but it didn't factor in the finish.

4/13/2002- Todays results up. Susumu finishes Numero Uno 0-4.

4/12/2002- The T2P best of is now complete and ready for order. Match list is here. Please email me with any questions. This comp is meant to be a retrospective as much as a best of, chronicling the growth of T2P since the first members debuted.

4/12/2002- In some good news, it looks like Takamichi Iwasa might be ready to return to action by the next T2P Japan arrival, after being out since December with an injury. Yasushi Kanda should also be ready to go in June or July. Hopefully Shimizu will be soon to follow.  I got my copy of Llave Mucho today. Pretty cool, not much new, just the Young Dragons Cup semis and final. They showed an alternate version of the T2P vs C-MAX match from last summer, this one was more complete, and it looked a lot better than it did on the Mexico special. I have to give a huge plug to the place I got the tape from, Katsumi at Puroresu Shop . The tape got here SUPER fast (one week from Japan, including me sending a money order), and he will track down just about anything you could want. Definitely the place to go for all your importing needs. The rest of my afternoon will be spent compiling the T2P best of I mentioned earlier, I should have it up here and ready to be ordered later tonight.

4/11/2002- Got in VamoAmi #28 and the March T2P TV special today, the match listings are up. I have a few thoughts, as usual. VamoAmi was pretty good, Susumu vs Masaaki being the standout. Susumu has become so good lately, lots of good spots and leg work in the match. It was odd because this is the first Toryumon I have seen to not have a C-MAX match on it. (SUWA wasn't C-MAX at this point, remember). The T2P block on the other hand was disappointing. The Gaora program guide has said this show would cover 2/17 Mexico and 3/3 Differ Ariake, however it only showed 3/3. I was really looking forward to seeing Milano vs Doi and the battle royal from 2/17, so that was strike one. The matches were very short, none over 8 minutes except the TARUs vs Ryo/Oyanagei tag. Nothing really blowaway, although the aforementioned tag and the 3 way with Mori vs Brother vs Yagi were quite good. Milano Collections' matches in particular were underwhelming, as both involved someone selling an injury from before the match. Kondo was selling the attack by Owashi in his prior match, so didn't have anything left to fight back against Milano, and in the finals, Milano was selling the Don Fujii attack (although he did a good job of this, they did a nice spot where he went for the Paradise Lock, but his arm was too hurt to finish it. He had to get it sprayed with the cooling spray, giving Yoshino time to untie himself from the knot, I liked that). But the match only went 6 minutes, not much flow to it. I may review it this weekend, depending on how things go. I have the Llave Mucho commercial video due in the next few days from Puroresu Shop. I will of course pass along my thoughts. 4/11/2002- Most T2P profiles updated with some trademark move descriptions or new moves.

4/10/2002- More news of the T2P relation to pass along. The next confirmed T2P Japan show is set for 6/2 in Osaka, at the Seaside Sports Center. Also, the 5/11 card has been finalized (it's at the bottom of the page) with some lineup changes more new students debuting, including the aforementioned Arakencito (Koichiro Arai). Dr Wagner Jr. of various lucha promotions and New Japan fame was the big name Mr X that negotiations were with. I'm not sure if Berlinetta Boxer has joined the Italian Connection. Made some updates to the schedule section, I am now going to include TV and event dates, such as autograph sessions,  or other special things.

4/10/2002-  Happy birthday greetings to Takamichi Iwasa, who turns 24 today. Hope you get well soon! Couple of unconfirmed news bits to toss out this morning. The next T2P Japan show will be on or around 6/6 at Korakuen Hall. Also, there is a strong buzz about the big Kobe World Hall show being the spot for Ultimos' comeback match, but again this is uncomfirmed.

4/9/2002- A big show was announced for 7/7 at Kobe World Hall. No word on whether this will be a PPV like last years 3rd Aniversario. Tickets are �15000 for Dragon VIP, �10000 for Ringside, then 6, 5, 4, and 3000 for A, B, 2nd FL and 3F, respectively. Doors open at 3 PM, show starts at 4 PM. Next Vamonos Amigos airs next Friday (4/19) no guest host announced yet, or what it will cover (probably 3/15 Kanagawa and the first round of Numero Uno)

4/9/2002- Todays' results up. All kinds of interference in the Genki/Shiisa match, M2K running in and taking out Shiisa, then Mochi ran down and Saikyou High Kicked Genki, knocking him out. Interesting bit of info i found out last night, SUWA has been saying during shows that he has no interest in winning El Numero Uno, so I would say this removes him from winning. My prediction right now is this: Block A-Magnum, Block B-Genki, Block C-Ryo, Block D-Masaaki. Magnum beats Ryo, Masaaki gets a payback win over Genki. Masaaki vs Magnum, Magnum wins with M2K help becoming the new leader. That's just my guess though...Happy birthday to SAITO, who turned 32 today.

4/8/2002- Nigiita results up, sorry for the lateness, I was tied up. Some tight races in Block B and C. Shiisa, Genki, and CIMA are tied with 4 points, each with one match left. Genki vs Shiisa is tonight, and Genki vs CIMA is on 4/21. In Block C, Ryo still leads with 3 points, Darkness Dragon has finished with ringouts across the board (*sigh). Fujii has 2 matches left, one against Stalker, so he could finish with 5 points, and if Ryo defeats SUWA he will have 5. SUWA needs to win both of his remaining matches to win the block (which will probably happen). Some other general news to be passed along today. Some arguing within C-MAX over Fujiis' goofiness with Milanos' invisible dog. C-MAX have been doing a mock of Milanos' catwalk entrance, with CIMA and TARU playing Milanos' aids. SUWA has been angered by this, and he beat up the invisible dog with his title belt the other day. This is half comedy/half serious. C-MAX did a full rudo beat down on Shiisa again on 4/6, attacking him with chairs. CIMA unveiled a submission version of the Schwein on 4/6, using it to make Araken submit. I think this may be a one time only thing, to take advantage of Arakens' bad leg, guess we'll see. Some T2P news, very soon a Royal Prince Brothers tag team will form in T2P with Mori and someone else. No indication of this being a new student or a character change for someone else. Iwasa seems to be the likely candidate if it is someone already active. Also, the next mini to come from T2P will be...*drumroll....ARAKENcito! Oh, and happy birthday to the webmaster^_^

4/7/2002- Full Katsura Studio results up. Magnum has won Block A. Seems like Genki has been training Darkness and Kanda to dance with Magnum...this should be interesting.

4/6/2002- Full results from Kawagoe up. A couple notes out of the show, after the main event, Magnum and Ricky argued, generating heat for their El Numero Uno match. Susumu gave some comments, I'm just going to give you the full interview in Japanese and in translated engrish, since I don't really know exactly what he is saying. (I'll ask around and see if I can get it clarified for me). Thanks to THIS M2K HP for these comments. 5:43 PM-Added one new link, to a cool new Takamichi Iwasa HP.

4/2/2002- Sorry for the lack of updates, but all has been quiet on the news front. The 5/11 Mexico show will be at Arena Coliseo (I had figured it would be Arena Nacaulpan). There are a couple new tour dates up, for the end of May/early July. One more little note on Hisamaru Tajima, from what I have been told, he is a power fighter, along the vein of Touru Owashi. This could be the start of the heavier division Owashi was hinting at on 3/3. (He got DQed out of the league, saying he didn't want to win a junior title, and that he was a heavyweight). Also, there is one new question in the FAQ.

3/28/2002- Here is what I have found out about the Tajima kid debuting on 5/11. His first name is Hisamaru, (like I mentioned,  it could have been either that or Kyumaru.). He got into the school at last years' open tryouts, I believe he is the first one to have  came in through that method to graduate/make their debut. 

3/27/2002- Full card for the Toryumon 5th Anniversary show on 5/11 in Mexico. A new student named Hisamaru Tajima will be debuting, and he is getting a lot of hype, and is being called "Ace of the Future". From what I gather, he is graduating early as an honor student from the Gym. if anyone can clarify that, let me know. Here is the full card:
