4/23/2003- The lineup for the 5/11 Anniversary show in Mexico was announced. All of CMAX will be there to participate. They will also be competing in a CMLL tournament on 5/9 while there. Sorry to say this, but the 5/11 show really ends after match 5. The opening match will more than likely be Keiji Kogare vs. one of the final X debutantes.

4/23/2003- Ok, sorry so late, but hey, I DO have a social life. Forgive a brother. For now I will pretty much just give you some verbatim translations from Sportsnavi and my own reports that I received. Tomorrow or Thursday, I will go in depth as to where we go from here, along with my own thought. The below is basically from Sportsnavi, they have a lot of photos from the show, so please check it out.
-- Shuji and YASSINI
interfered in match 2, and although SUWA fought them off, he couldn't
escape the Sol Naciente. SUWA said he had been preserving his strength for
a semi-final with CIMA. He said he would get revenge on Sexy Tarzan.
--CIMA vs. Susumu was said to an AMAZING sprint, with Susumu focusing on
CIMAs' neck.
--Mochi vs. Milano was back and forth, at one point Milano apparently
reversed a release Dragon Suplex into AT Lock
--Genki initially laid down for Magu to score the win, but quickly
reversed the cover into a small package. After a short brawl, with HAGE
calls ringing out, Genki slipped out of an Egoist Driver for the clean
upset. The entire arena counted along and erupted.
--The Great Sasuke came out and apologized for not being able to wrestle
Ultimo because of a knee injury. Ultimo teased him about being a masked
senator, and Sasuke said he would never remove his mask. The confirmed the
Ultimo/Sasuke match for the 5/5 MPro show.
--YOSSINO and CIMA was another fast, action packed match, CIMA escaped a
Sol Naciente, and ended YOSSINOs' winning streak.
--Genki again rode the HAGE calls' to pull the upset on Mochi, reversing
out of a Twister and a Dragon with roll ups, before getting a backslide.
At this point Genki had defeated both prior Numero Uno champions.
--The 10 Man was a straight spotfest sprint, with every wrestlers'
trademark moves flying everywhere. Ultimo connected with the Quebrada for
the first time in his return.
--The finals sound absolutely amazing in reports. With a huge back and
forth battle taking place. Genki initially trying to win with flash pins.
I won't spoil it with too much in depth, but it of course featured the
typically crazed confused fighting between DF and CMAX on the floor, and
finished when CIMA broke the ban on the Goriconoclasm, allowing him to
connect with the Mad Splash on his 2nd attempt at it.
--Ultimo came out to present CIMA with the Ultimo Dragon Gym belt. He told
CIMA he was now the true #1 and ace, then shocked everyone by challenging
CIMA for a match at the 5/6 Korakuen show, possibly his last Japan match
before his upcoming WWE stint. CIMA then took the microphone, thanking
everyone in attendance and watching. He had been planning on taking 6
months off to heal his neck and once again injured knee, until the "くそ校長E
or "kuso principal" made his challenge. He said he would crush Ultimo by
Schwein.
The show drew 5700 fans, in the approx. 6500 seat building, which for all intents and purposes is a successful sellout. The show is drawing rave reviews from those in attendance, with not a negative thing to be said. My favourite comment coming from a BBS post, ending with "Toryumon saikou saikou saikou saikou saikou saikou" Meaning Toryumon, the highest, the highest...etc. Genki received incredible praise for his performance, being called the MVP. Overall, despite what may appear to be a lot of short, wasteful matches, the show sounds simply awesome (CIMA/Susumu, CIMA/Genki, the 10 Man, and the DraScra alone) and looks to be another must. I will have my own thoughts on the booking, the direction, etc tomorrow at some point, but for now, congratulations CIMA.
4/20/2003 (EDITED at 2:32 PM)- Results from Kawagoe. It will be SUWA vs. Mochi from block B at Yoyogi. Shuji said he would win the Dragon Scramble and get revenge. Genki was tied in Indian Deathlock position to Stalker by Iwasa, who then chopped him down, Stalker tapped..... Owashi made his return from his....wherever he was...and it seems he will be entering the Dragon Scramble, not challenging Ultimo. CIMA has been wrestling with a neck brace since he was hurt by Kids' Deja Vu on 4/15.
4/19/2003- The El Numero Uno regular league matches ended today, leaving blocks B and C in ties. Kid and CIMA will have to have a tie breaker match (since apparently they are not factoring in the fact that Kid beat CIMA), and there will be a 3 Way match from block B, with Shuji vs. SUWA vs. Mochi. The NWA Middleweight title match between Ultimo and Sasuke has been postponed until the MPRO 5/5 Sendai show, possibly due to Sasukes' newfound political obligations.
4/18/2003- Received VamoAmi #49 today. Very good episode, not a bad match to be seen. X continues to impress the hell out of me, Naoki Tanisaki again looked great, with some insanely tricked out high flying. Shu Sato also looked awesome, playing a great compliment to Taiji on their team. He did an amazing Swan Dive Forward Somersault Missile Kick. SUWAcito and Small Dandy are becoming a monster of a team, with endless renkeis' and teamwork. I simply cannot wait for the X Japan landing. On the Japan end of things, K-ness/Kid from 2/17 Chicken was as good as you would expect, especially considering K-ness had a severe flu that day. Shuji vs. SUWA absolutely rocked, Shuji is a superstar. The crowd was nuts for that one . The 5 on 5 match was a cluster in a lot of spots, but is now the match I will show to people who are new to Toryumon, simply because it has everything you could want to see. Crazy spots, insane heat, a good dose of goofiness, basically everything you watch Toryumon for. Favourite spot has to be when Mochi finally got his hands on Venezia, kicking him in the back, causing the Differ crowd to boo him intensely, hehe. Another must have episode! Match listing is up in TV History.
4/17/2003- Useless information to bring you today. That being the origin of TARUs' "Malw" (the name, anyway). TARU is a fan of the Japanese a-cappella group Q.T. Honey, his favourite member is named Maru~chan. Malw is pronounced "Maru", but has just been romanized horribly incorrect. In results and such, Malw is listed in romanji (English characters), but in TARUs' GAORA blog entries and such, he spells it in the Katakana マルー, which literally is Ma'ruu. So. Yeah, I'm sure you were all dying to know. *ahem*
4/15/2003- I added a new section, bringing back the move descriptions I did so poorly with in prior Toryumon USA versions. They are all in one section, listed on the sidebar as Technique Guide. If there is something omitted, or you have a better description of a particular tech, than let me know. They are not in the Player Data sections simply for space constraints.
4/15/2003- Results from Osaka. The main event was a clean fight. CIMA once again declared he would win in 3 minutes, but when that time passed, he said 6, than after 6 minutes, he said 7. After that, Kid went on a severe offensive, almost KO'ing him with the Deja Vu, but continued an aggressive assault. Kid advances on in Block C, leaving CIMA to the Dragon Scramble.
4/14/2003- Shin M2K has a new logo, further distancing itself from the old M2K (which is good.). I managed to get a very poor pic, which is on the sidebar, and as background to their data page. Also on the data page, check Dois' profile for a pic of his new ring costume, which he debuted at the Shimonoseki show. Big show tonight, with the first ever singles match between Kid and CIMA.
4/13/2003- Shimonoseki results. Great looking show, in theory. Milano vs. Magu will of course either be amazing or a train wreck. Ultimo vs. Sasuke for the NWA Middleweight title is confirmed for Yoyogi.
4/12/2003- Kagawa results. Shuji declared he would force a double ringout in his league match with Mochi. Uno Dos Tres taping tonight with Milano vs. Magu. Possible news flash, if I can stay awake.
4/11/2003- Milano defeated WMF wrestler Soldier on today's WMF show, needing only 4:53 to win by AT Lock. The match was said to be so one sided that the spectators laughed at Soldier.
4/7/2003-
I just thought I would pass along a very cool new ItaConne site I saw
today. It has T2P paper dress up dolls to play with, which is just
impossibly cool beyond words.
Also, Second Doi has changed his ring costume
completely, and is currently wearing plain white tights (the square tights
variety, like Shuji, just with no design) and plain white knee pads and
boots, with some smatterings of orange. No real good pics as of now
though.
4/6/2003- Shizuoka results. Obviously match 4 had very big potential, sad it won't be airing. El Numero Uno is looking like this, currently. Milano and Magu are battling for the top spot in block A, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that they will be 1/2, just which order is the question. Each currently have 6 points, and own the tiebreaker over Fujii and Araken, the only others who could get 6. Condotti has won block B by virtue of his forfeit win over K-ness today. The battle for 2nd place is a lot closer, with Mochi, SUWA, Susumu, and TARU all still alive, depending no how the remaining 2 matches play out (SUWA vs TARU, Mochi vs Shuji). A double ringout between Shuji and Mochi, which is the expected result, would eliminate Mochi, unless SUWA vs. TARU also goes to a non finish, in which case, Susumu could possibly advance. Block C is owned by YOSSINO, he swept it. It looks right now like CIMA and Kid will be wrestling for 2nd place on 4/15. YASSINI, Anthony, and Ryo are out.
4/5/2003- The second wave of the Numero Uno series began today in Aichi. YOSSINO was angry with Shuji for causing the opening ringout, he slapped Shuji in the back of the head. Shuji intruded on Susumus' match, giving him the Lanzarse, allowing TARU to get the win.
4/1/2003- Game and TV schedules are updated through July. Some funny notes from Mochis' latest entry in the Shin M2K blog on the GAORA page. He talked about his match with Susumu, saying it was a tough fight, but blamed Venezia for the loss, repeatedly referring to Vene as "Kuso Gorilla" or "Shitty Gorilla". He also asked fans to boo Raimu, for some reason (罵声を欲びせてやってください、よろしくお願いします、Basei o yoku biseteyatte kudasai, yoroshiku onegaishimasu, or Please shower with boos, thank you for your consideration, *grin) ....K-ness talked about his injury, saying he can now move his arm, but there is still a lot of pain. He said although he could second DF members, he cannot participate at all, he can't even dance. If it doesn't heal on it's own, he will have to go undergo the same type of surgery Dragon Kid underwent in 1999, which kept him out almost 9 months. If his condition improves in time for Yoyogi, expect him to be one of the participants to emerge from the battle royal.
