Remember that massive unit profile change I promised a week or so ago? Well, here it is........

8/30/2003 Wild night in Korakuen Hall.......(updated @ 12:30EST with some corrected and new info)

A night of many upsets and crazy occurrences.

  • Raimu and Iwasa came out. Raimu badmouthed Okamura, saying he was bad at wrestling, but liked making money and doing bad karate. Okamura said he would be Match #10 on the Iwasa Trial. During the match, Iwasa was about to break out of the Camel Clutch, when Mishima, in his excitement, accidentally dropped the towel, causing the TKO loss. Raimu asked to wrestle in Iwasas' place in Match #10 vs. Okamura. This will not take place until Septembers' Chicken, however...The current record in the Iwasa trial is 0-8.

  • Owashi had some harsh words for JUN. Saying he hasn't progressed at all since their meeting on the final T2P show. TARU was also harsh, questioning JUNs' memebrship in CMAX. JUN was said to have looked terrible in the match, this was intentional, though, to play up the slump angle.

  • After the main, Milano petitioned for a UDG belt match. However, SUWA was already the next challenger. Genki then challenged...as did Araken. So, as we announced here several weeks ago, at the Budokan Hall show, there will be a 5 Way Cage match, Magu vs. Milano vs. Genki vs. Araken vs. SUWA. The winner will be the next challenger to the belt. As with the 2001 cage match, the loser will have to cut their hair, or in Arakens' case, he will have to grow an afro (!!!!), if it is SUWA, he will have to participate in the DF dance....(....)

  • From here, Dotti and YASSINI intruded, they attacked Venezia. Anthony came out to help, followed shortly after by YOSSINO and K-ness. Dotti and Yassi then attacked Milano and YOSSINO, and withdrew from the Italian Connection. Boxer was also assaulted, he and Vene both had their masks removed. The newly won title belts were promptly vacated.....Milano later said he needed a little time to decide what to do with the belts, so the belts are not quite vacant yet. Milano said it was an ItaConne issue, and would be settled within the ItaConne (maybe a Milano, YOSSINO, BelBel/Anthony vs. Dotti, Yagi/Owashi, Yassi match)

Finally the ItaConne has begun to disintegrate. This had to happen, with YOSSINO and Milano over so much as babyfaces, while Dotti, Yassi, and Yagi were still rudo. I expect Yagi to align with Yassi and Dotti, whenever he shows up again. BelBel is not due to return to Mexico for the show there tomorrow night, but with this, may now go full time to Los Carlos Exoticos. I would fully expect to see Owashi aligning with the Dotti unit. K-ness will not be leaving Do FIXER, despite his involvement tonight. Remember, it was Venezia that was attacked, and he was only coming to his aid. Anthony may now end up aligning with the ItaConne remnants (Anthony can be an Italian name, after all.....) BATAyan may also factor in here somewhere, although I doubt it. He is an Iwasa Gundam candidate, if anything.  For those wondering, this was Stalkers' 4th career win, having pinned Susumu in a tag match in 2000, and 2 wins over SUWA by intrusion/ringout. Some fans have been joking that they should release an Iwasa designed towel to the market....

8/29/2003
A new member for X made his debut this past week. His name is Yosuke Aoki. He has been losing to KONDO&CO. I'm guessing he will end up with a name change, somewhere down the line.

8/28/2003 Chicken Report

  • YASSINI announced he would be able to return to action soon.

  • CIMA and SUWA continued their discipline of JUN today, as he lost yet again.

  • Stalker intruded on a Kid/Shisa singles match, making it a 3 way. Chants of SAITO were directed towards Shisa.....

  • BATAs' partner was announced as X. Owashis' music hit, and BATA donned an Owashi shirt, saying they would be fighting together from now on. However, BATA hit him with his golden basin, causing Owashi to turn on him.....

  • Dotti and YASSINI made quite a few errors in the main, leading to it becoming such a close fight. Milano said if this behaviour continued, they couldn't be a part of the 4 Way 6 man at Korakuen.....

8/25/2003
I forgot to mention this the other day, but the Do FIXER representative team in the 4 Way 6 man at the upcoming Korakuen will be Magu, Susumu, and Genki. When they announced this, Ryo was upset and sulked during the dance......The M2K, ItaConne, and CMAX teams are yet to be announced. My bet would be Mochi, Kid, Araken for M2K, CIMA, SUWA, JUN for CMAX, Milano, Dotti, YOSSINO for the ItaConne.

8/23/2003
The GAORA schedule for September is up. The X show airs on the 10th. For those wondering about the actual singing and dancing talent of the Sailor Boys, it should be noted that the Satos' came to the Gym straight from a Kabuki theatre training school, so they do have a background. As for Taiji, he's probably the eye candy, but...*ahem (*><*)

8/22/2003 X Reaches Japan

  • Genki appeared after the opener, staring down Tanisaki

  • Araken proclaimed Koichiro as his brother.

  • Anthony was second for Henry during his match, possibly hinting at a Royal Brothers revival, soon.

  • The Sailor Boys announced they would be releasing their own CD called Keep on Journey soon. They performed it after the main. They said they aim at becoming pop idols. So yes, this makes the 2 top factions in X a Salsa band and a Boy Band.

  • Overall, the show was said to have been good, with match 2 and the main event standing out. I'll be posting new photos in the X profile section as I can get them, there are a few new ones now.

8/21/2003 Welcome to Japan
There is an interesting article on Nikkan Sports today about Toryumon X, in anticipation of their debut. It mainly discusses how, with an average height of 167CM, all of X members are wrestlers who were once considered "too small" to succeed. The goal of X is to "smash all preconceptions" You can read the article here. I apologize now for being unable to bring news flash results for their debut show, due to my ludicrous current work schedule, I should however be able to have full results up as soon as the show ends. On a non-X related note, seems CIMA has been shouting at JUN after the losses in his recent slump, I highly doubt this will lead to anything, however

8/17/2003 YOSSINOs' next defense, new layout.
YOSSINO vs. Susumu for the NWA Welterweight title will occur on 9/8 at Osaka Prefectural Gym. As I'm sure you have noticed, we have another ugly layout. I have decided to not continue with the bi-lingual thing, since I barely have enough time to keep the English part updated ><) Hope it isn't too eye blistering.

8/16/2003 Aichi results, theme CD from earlier update
I have gotten quite a few emails about the Theme CD/Magazine I posted a few days ago. If anyone is interested in getting one, you can contact Katsumi at Puroresu Shop.

8/14/2003 Late Results ><
Got hit by the blackout, sorry for the delay. Updated some profiles to reflect current entrance themes. I'm going to hold off on full profile editing until after the Iwasa Gundam trial series ends

8/13/2003 New TV get.
I got the July batch of TV today, Match listings up in TV History, thoughts here

8/13/2003 Takikawa results, some other bits
I had meant to mention this a few days ago, but I kept forgetting...The Gaora official page updated it's player data section, realigning everyone. JUN moved to CMAX, Raimu out of M2K, of course. Also notable was the removal of the Royal Brothers section, along with Henry and Phillip completely (Henry is considered X now, I believe). BelBel was taken out of the ItaConne section, and Kinya Oyanagi no longer has a profile. Hopefully they all have not fallen completely into the Black Hole now. I plan on revamping the profile section (well, slightly, anyway) to reflect this sometime this week.

8/11/2003 Ashikawa results, Theme CD
JUN continues his massive slump...Some Toryumon themes are featured on a CD that accompanies this magazine. The featured themes are; CMAX-Circusy, Genki -DigiDemonia, Toryumon opening Theme-Episodes, Milano-Milano Fever (remix of Europa with BONGIORNO! at the start), T2P Japan Landing Theme, and a new theme called Dragon Storm.

8/10/2003 Sapporo day 2, Tag league announced, SUWA vs. Magu
It was announced today that there will be a Strongest Tag League held from 10/5-10/25. SUWA was confirmed as the next challenger for the UDG Belt, most think the match will be a cage match at Budokan Hall. Susumu expressed interest in YOSSINOs' title, and will probably be the next challenger.

8/9/2003 Sapporo Day 1 results, 3 matches made
First of the back-to-back Taisen Hall shows. For tonight's, YOSSINO will again defend his NWA Welterweight title against K-ness, making good on a match promised to Sapporo in March, but didn't happen due to K-ness' injury. It was also determined that the 15th and final match of the Iwasa Gundam Trial will be Iwasa vs. President Okamura. Tonight was his 8th loss in 8 matches. Also decided, was the main event for tonight's Taisen Hall. It will be a 3 Way of some sort, with undetermined participants.

8/3/2003 Oharu event results, X debut lineup
Only 3 matches today, taking place at a summer festival. The lineup for the 8/22 X show was announced, and to be honest it isn't all that thrilling, with a lot of X members not even participating (Lambo Miura, Kei Sato, KONDO&CO, Manabu Katakami...). I still firmly believe they are hot shotting this. Interesting to note Takayasu Fukuda is now known as Mango Fukuda....><)

8/2/2003 Results, Budokan tickets on sale

8/1/2003- October schedules.  Budokan Hall main event rumour.....
The game schedule for October is now up. There are some rumours floating around about the main event of the September Budokan Hall show. It is said that there will be a cage match for the UDG belt, either a normal or 3 way fight. This is, of course, just rumour right now.
