7/29/2002- Added a new link down below, to Substance Js' new Osaka Pro fan HP. He has done some great work on it thus far, so check it out!

7/28/2002- Todays results up. Darkness Dragon became the 3rd NWA Welterweight Champion from the month of July, defeating M2K mate Genki Horiguchi.. Surprisingly, Magnum was able to moderate the arguing and keep the infighting away. Milano Collection appeared during the opening MC, and there was a confrontation with Sekigun and Crazy MAX.

7/27/2002- Todays' results up. Darkness vs. Genki tonight.

7/26/2002- Todays results up, once again sorry so late. Also, here are the final 3 match results from the 7/21 Mexico show, hopefully I will be able to get the first 2 matches soon.

7/24/2002- As promised, here are my thoughts on the 2 new batches of Toryumon TV I received. The 6/7 Korakuen show was mostly talk, long opening promo, long promo with CMAX and the Italian Connection. The 4 matches were all pretty passable, if unspectacular, except Okamura vs Ichikawa, which was...well, you know. World was a fabulous show. The building was packed, and they were live for everything but the luchadore matches. I can now SAFELY say that it was a mistake to bring them in, as they got little to no reaction (outside of Rickys' spots and the usual heat for Sasuke). Super Nova especially was greeted with huge indifference. The opener with the Italian Connection vs, Shisa/Araken/Raimu was as good as you would expect, and Milanos' promo was tremendous afterwards. Ichikawa vs TARUcito was...well, you know. The luchadore matches were just kinda there, as I said, no heat, and none of them seemed to be trying too hard. Ricky finished his match with a pretty crappy Arabian Press. SUWA vs. Susumu rocked, and you will be pleased to know the interference was pretty tame and kept low. The crowd went nuts for the finish.  The 3 Way of course was the match of the night,  although I prefer last years' 3 way from Korakuen over this one. I'll be very interested to see the 7/14 3 way from Differ Ariake. (It airs on 8/16). Overall, World is a must have, and 6/7 is skippable.

7/24/2002- Full results from Kumamoto up. Genki Horiguchi regained his NWA Welterweight title, defeating Ricky Marvin with the Beach Break in 14 minutes. He will now defend against Darkness Dragon on the 28th with Yasushi Kanda as referee, in an all M2K affair. Darkness shook Genkis; hand, but then attacked him, seems he is going lone wolf until at least the title match. I just got my tapes of 6/7 Korakuen and the 3 hour World special, I will post my thoughts when I am done.

7/23/2002- Todays results up. Genki vs. Marvin for NWA Welterweight title tonight.

7/22/2002- Results up from Miyazaki. In a bit of site news, I have started a new job, which will force me to regulate myself to a normal sleeping pattern, thus limiting news flash results here to only very majour shows. (Next planned flash is the Ariake double header on 8/11).

7/21/2002- Early results up from Miyuzaki.

7/20/2002- Dave Meltzer is reporting Bill Goldberg of all people has been approached to appear on 9/8. All I can say to this is......I'll believe it when I see it, hear it, read about it, and own the videotape. Also, the debut show of Hayabusas' WMF show will feature a 6 man with Dragon Kid and Darkness Dragon.  Darkness Dragon/GOEMON/Onryo vs. Dragon Kid/Great Sasuke/Tiger Mask IV. The show date is 8/24.  There will also be some special event at the 8/11 double header to coincide with the one year anniversary of the Weekly Pro magazine Puroresu Love iMode function (it allows users in Japan to access show results and news in real time on their iMode cellular phones). There will be some sort of tie-in events happening.

7/20/2002- Results from Hakata StarLanes, sorry for the lateness, was tied up all day. Darkness Dragon made his second microphone appeal,  he was angry with Genki Horiguchi for his intrusion in the Susumu/Marvin match, saying M2K intrusion should only be for double ringouts, not aiding victories (I can't make this stuff up...)He also said his war with Dragon Kid will end soon. He then challenged the winner of the 7/24 NWA Welterweight title match between Marvin and Genki. If Genki wins the titles, Kanda will referee the all m2K match. Either way, the match seems to be taking place on 7/28. This is the 2nd time Darkness has expressed disagreement with the other M2K members. At Differ on 7/14, he spoke for the first time ever (beyond his "My name is...DARKNESS DRAGON!" speech from late 2000), and criticized Magnums constant use of profanity.......

7/16/2002- Kobe Chicken results. For the SUWA match, if Genki won Kanda would referee the main, if SUWA won, it would be the normal referee, Tomoaka Kinta.

7/14/2002-  Results from Ariake. After his interference tonight. Genki will challenge Ricky Marvin for the NWA Welterweight title next week in Kumamoto.  Milano and the Italian Connection came out after the SUWA match, they talked trash to Araken about his forthcoming Mexico trip. There was another huge brawl between Crazy MAX and the Italian Connection after the main. Many big upcoming matches announced, for the double header in Ariake next month. The Japan show will have a C-MAX vs. M2K UWA 6 Person tag title match, a single between Darkness and Dragon Kid, and a special Maximum Weakest  tournament, with Raimu (.........), Ichikawa, TARUcito, and the Syachihokos. The T2P show will have a 5 way match, the winners(??) going on to face the Italian Connection later in the night for a shot at the UWA 6 man tag titles on 9/8. The 5 in said 5 way will all be T2P technicos, and will probably be a combination of Doi, Iwasa, Oyanagei, Mori, Sugawara, Ogawauchi

7/12/2002- A non title rematch of the World main event was booked for the 7/20 Hakata Star Lanes show, CIMA/TARU/Fujii vs. Magu/Darkness/Genki vs. Kid/Ryo/Mochi. Tickets have gone on sale for the 9/8 show. Like last years big Ota Ku show with the cage death match, this show is called Absolutamente. Tickets are: Dragon VIP 15000, Ringside 10000, Court Side 8000, and then 6, 5, 4, and 3000 for the other seats. They are available online through Ticket Pia.

7/10/2002- Got the T2P TV block from June today. Not much from the 5/11 Mexico show was shown, just the Italian Connection vs. CMAX match, which was heavily clipped down. Some random thoughts: Takuya Sugawara is going to be great. He has a great moveset and shows a ton of potential. Korakuen was absolutely rocking the whole show. Just off the charts heat for the 6 man and especially the main event. The 6 man was incredible, but broke down into a cluster a little too quick, I would have liked a little more in a traditional tag structure. Some people will hate the mega-cluster that was the main, due to all the interference and such, but i absolutely loved it. The crowd ate it all up, and it made a match that probably would not have worked on it's own into a thoroughly enjoyable spectacle. Great show, almost completely erasing the 3/3 show from memory. Get it at once! (matchlist up in the usual spot)

7/8/2002- Another quick update today. My much maligned little fansite recently passed 50,000 hits, 40,000 of them coming since November of 2001. I like to think we have grown a lot in content and quality of said content since our inception 18 months ago, and I thank all of you for the support and words of encouragement. On another note, the first photos of World I have found are up on Orange Bear. She has photos of match one and two, including Ichikawa in his STRONG STYLE!~ outfit.

7/7/2002- Quick update to answer some questions I have gotten. World wasn't a PPV this year, but will air in full on 7/15 on Gaora in a 3 hour special. As for the future of the NWA Welterweight title in Toryumon, now that Ricky has it, I wouldn't be shocked to see it leave. Given the amount of time Ricky spends here though, him defending it and subsequently dropping it isn't unforeseeable, especially with the hot-shotted nature of this title these days. Also, the Gaora Toryumon page was recently updated with a nice new layout, worth checking out!

7/7/2002- Full results from World. Milano Collection AT appeared after/during the opener. He cut a promo, saying he was happy with Raimus' progress. He asked Shiisa if the Mexico excursion taught him anything. He told Araken he shouldn't have come. Arakens team left quietly. Stalker tore off his normal gear before the match, revealing new, as he put it, "Strong Style" short black tights. Not sure if he was wearing the mask. TARU said he would also change, after seeing Stalker. So he walked up the ramp, smoke filled, and he shouted, "TRANSFORMATION!" and TARUcito then walked out^^.  Kanda arrived for the SUWA vs. Susumu match in his ref gear, but Tomoaka Kinta ended up officiating it. Kanda tried to interfere, but President Okamura stopped him. The Italian Connection were at ringside for the main, but left without doing anything, Mochi and TARU both displayed new costumes. The proper first elimination went like this: Kid attempts a Ultra Huracanrana, he has his mask tore at, and Magnum rolled him up for the pin. (sorry if I listed it confusingly). C-MAX regain the titles they were stripped of in May. The announced attendance was 6900, the largest crowd in Toryumon history, beating out last years' World show by 200 or so.

7/7/2002- Tonight is the big World show. As a special event, I will be bringing news flash results both here, and in the #puroresu chat room on Starchat, run by our good friend Stuart over at Strong Style Spirit. Stuart will be doing live Zero One results in the chat at the same time. Head over to Strong Style Spirit for instructions on how to get in the chat. The shows start at 16:00 Japan time, 3 AM Eastern Time (do the math for your own time zone if you don't fall in here...)

7/3/2002- Another Mexico lineup announced (in part). Araken will be doing a full tour down there, presumably while he spends some time training the new students. With so many shows being announced in Japan, there is a good chance of these shows making TV. Also, several autograph/meet and greet events involving the Japan visiting luchadores were announced. 7/8 in Kobe Ring Seoul (1000 or ticket stub from 7/7 World) time 19:00, and 7/13 Daisen American in Tokyo (1000 in purchases must be made) at 15:00. TARUcito will act as interpretor for both events.  On a site related note, I have decided to kill the message board for now. I have always hated EZboard, and the pop-ups were just far too annoying. I'll replace it with something better and cuter soon. Thanks to everyone who posted on it.

7/1/2002- A double header was announced for 8/11 at Differ Ariake. The day show will be Toryumon Japan, the night show will be T2P.  CIMA suffered a fractured pinky on his right hand. He probably won't miss time.
