1999: Debuts as a Toryumon Japan 4th term
student. Even though he was a Japan graduate, he also was the bridge to the
start of T2P. Loses in the finals of the Young Dragons Cup to newly heel Yasushi
Kanda.
2000: Splits time between Japan and Mexico. Adopts the bicycle
enthusiast character while in Japan. Loses nearly 20 opening matches in a row to
Keni'chiro Arai. Again reaches the finals of the Young Dragons Cup, this time to
Milano Collection AT. Upon his return to Japan, his bicycle is stolen by Sumo
Fujii.
2001: Feuds with Fujii, eventually winning back his bike. The 2
would form a team called the Bicycle Brothers off and on for the next few years.
Wins first title in August, on the seikigun UWA 6 man tag title team. In
September, captures his first singles title, defeating Susumu Mochizuki for the
NWA Welterweight. His momentum came to a halt in the fall, with the Japan
arrival of T2P and rival Milano. Spends the next few months being destroyed by
Milano and feuding with newly heel Genki Horiguchi.
2002: Furthers special friendship with Anthony W. Mori, and is
caught of the middle of the T2P/Japan war. After returning Milanos' stolen
invisible dog, Fujii dissolves the Bicycle Brothers team. Aligns with Darkness
Dragon after his unmasking. Is tricked into leaving Seikigun to join the new Do
FIXER unit. This is not received well by leader Mochizuki, so Ryo begins to try
and get in the real Do FIXER. First he abandons the bicycle character,
assaulting his bike with a chair. He was unable to pass the dancing test
however, and could not join. He returns in December with an unusual personal
dance called the "SaiRyo Dance". This pleased DF leader Magnum TOKYO, so he was
allowed to join. His final test however was in his first DF match. It was an
eliminaiton match vs seikigun and T2P members, including Mori. Magnum eliminated
himself, leaving Ryo and Mori as the final 2.Ryo proved his allegiance by using
a black box to help him win.
2003: Spends most of the year as the main H-A-G-E call
cheerleader, and is derailed by injuries.
2004: Returns to aid Mori during his feud with Takuya Sugawara.
First he helps Mori overcome the shock of Sugas' betrayal. Then, cementing his
BFF status, after Mori takes the fall in a Hair vs. Hair match, Ryo takes the
haircut for him. Another injury plagued year.
2005: Opens the first show of the year by pinning CIMA. Appeals
for a Dream Gate shot, and is given a singles match with Milano as his hurdle.
He defeats Milano after 4 years of embarrassing losses. Despite losing his Dream
Gate attempt, he continued to garner high profile wins. With Magnum moving down
a different path, he named Ryo as the 2nd generation Do FIXER leader. Ryo would
go on to win a feud with CIMA, then win the first King of Gate tournament. 2005
was really a very remarkable year for Ryo.
2006: The 2005 momentum continued in the early months. He
defeated Magnitude Kishiwada for the Dream Gate, becoming the ace of Dragon
Gate. It was all downhill from there, tho. His quick ascent was not entirely
accepted by fans. He quickly lost the Dream Gate to Susumu, and was quiet the
rest of the year. He did make it to the finals of King of Gate again, but
lost.
2007: After being betrayed by Genki Horiguchi, ends Do FIXER.
Reunites with Mori to join Typhoon. Also reunites with former DF mate and
generation rival Susumu to form the RyoSuka team. Despite some tag success, 2007
saw Ryo slide further.
Ryo has begun to stir a bit in 2008. He took offense to CIMA belittling the Brave Gate right after Ryo challenged for it, causing some strife within Typhoon. After a failed Dream Gate challenge, the issues were reconciled.
