Prior to entering the Dragon Gate system, Shingo trained at the Animal Hamaguchi Gym, and was an accomplished proffessional bodybuilder. Wrestling has always been a dream, during middle school when filling out a questionnaire about occupations he put "All Japan, New Japan, FMW" as his desired field.
2004: Enters the Dragon Gate system, and debuts as their first graduate. He is aligned with his teacher, CIMA, and Crazy MAX for their final days in the 2004 Rey De Parejas. He remained with CIMA and Fuji for the brief Waku Waku Fuji Land period.
2005: Continues on to Blood Generation, and begins a meteoric rise in rank through the year.
2006: After the Blood/Muscle split, Shingo chose to remain neutral. Instead, he left Japan to spend 1 year in the US. While there he adopted the ring name SHINGO, which he still uses when in the US and on the WrestleJAM shows.
2007: Won the ROH Tag titles with Naruki Doi early in the year. Made a triumphant return to Japan in Spring. Upon arriving, he helped found New Hazard with former rival BxB Hulk. Their formal debut as a unit saw them capture the Open the Triangle Gate.

Shingo and Hulk captured the GHC Jr Tag titles from DoiYoshi in January 2008, but they lost them to the NOAH team of KENTA and Taiji Ishimori. With little warning, he turned heel on Hulk in May. He ended New Hazard, taking Kong with him to the new super heel group Real Hazard. He went on to become the new ace following CIMAs' injury, winning the Dream Gate at World. This also lead directly to his ousting from RH, as he had previously stopped several assaults on CIMA and shook hands with Hulk. He was aided by Typhoon, and after teaming with Dragon Kid in the Summer Adventure Tag League, he chose to formally join the unit.
